Air Fry Cinnamon Bites

Ingredients

  • 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup crisp rice cereal, coarsely crushed
  • 2 tablespoons plus 1/2 cup sugar, divided
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter-flavored shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, cereal, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Stir in milk just until moistened.
  3. Shape into 1-in.
  4. balls.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°.
  6. In a shallow bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Dip balls in butter, then roll in cinnamon-sugar.
  8. In batches, arrange in a single layer in greased air fryer.
  9. Cook until browned and a toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean, 8-12 minutes.
